The Dixie Derby Girls are Alabama's first all girl, flat track
roller derby league, established in December 2004. Huntsville is one of
the smallest cities in the nation with an active derby league. Now we
are one of the over forty flat track roller derby leagues in the United
States, and we are members of The Women's Flat Track Derby Association.

Forming a Roller Derby league wasn't easy here, especially
because we live in the middle of the bible belt. Thanks to Huntsville's
thriving underground scene, we have taken The Rocket City by storm.


 
   

Our 1st season was a huge success
thanks to our sponsors and all of our fans who came out and supported
us. With the growing popularity of Roller Derby in Huntsville, the Dixie
Derby Girls have split into two kick-ass teams:

THE THRILL
KILLERS & THE
RED HOT RIOTS

Now we are training hard for our Spring 2007 season, which will begin
on April 15th as our all-star team takes on Panama City.
